Ornament Finishing - Social & Instruction

Directions will be sent to attendees prior to class. 

In this in-studio course, you will learn the art of needlepoint ornament finishing using hand sewn methods. You will receive a guide to take home as well. We will have lots of fun, fellowship, and a few snacks!

You will bring the following:

• Completed and blocked needlepoint ornament preferably in oval, square, or circular shape measuring 3-6 inches. 
• Note it is helpful to have a couple of extra rows stitched around the perimeter of the design. 
• Do not cut the canvas prior to class. 
• Chosen cording for your project. If you are using twisted cord, please bring at a length of at least 4x your project perimeter. 
• Fabric for backing. Recommended fabric is medium to heavy weight cotton, canvas, or linen. 

We will supply the following:

• Sewing needles and thread
• Acid-free matting board
• Cotton or Bamboo batting, fabric stabilizer
• Pins, cutting tools
• Clips
• Heavy duty double-sided tape

Optional in-studio products - please contact me prior to class:

• We have a small collection of velvet, broom, and ric rac trim for purchase
• Also available is a small collection of backing fabric including Liberty of London, and Merchant & Mills Dry Oilskin
